garden tidying
spending money I haven't got;
health I don't have

the loyalty of the poorest man is bought
by the flattery of a simple premise:
that he is better than another; ought
to live a life that's free of such a blemish
that another of his clan should look upon
his presence with a disdainful air
that his extended clan unite as one
to rid the world of them who play not fair.
And if that loyalty is forthwith tested
tell the poorest man that he's been conned
by a mutual enemy once trusted
and it's the Other that has done him wrong.
Tempt him to take vengeance on those Others
ere they destroy his way of life and mother's.
